Canadian Dental Connection

This website was designed for oral health professionals interested in working in northern, remote and underserved communities in Canada and for clinics in these areas. It was developed by a group of the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University with several partners and a financial contribution from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
This simple, bilingual, and free tool includes a job matching component, where clinics can post an oral health position and professionals can have a profile and apply for positions. It also includes training modules to help oral health professionals prepare to work in northern, remote and underserved communities. Anyone interested in learning more about cultural competency, trauma-informed care and the application of these notions in Indigenous settings can benefit from this resource.

Volunteer Opportunities

CE OPPORTUNITY Prince George
The Emergency Dental Outreach Clinic (EDOC) is a pain control clinic (extractions) that runs during the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month out of the Native Friendship Centre. Dentists, CDA’s, and RDH’s volunteer their time from about 6-9 pm. We are always appreciative of volunteers should you be interested. Our main need is with assisting but we could also use help with providing anesthesia and with cleaning/sterilizing instruments. This CDHBC form can be sent in to claim CE credits for volunteering. Ideally, it would be sent in prior to volunteering but they also accept it after volunteering. Each volunteer experience is evaluated by the QAC. If you would like more information, please contact Jane Bartell, RDH Jane.Bartell@northernhealth.ca, or text or call her cell 250-617-0835.
