BCDHA has allocated funds to provide financial support to our members, or groups of members who undertake activities that will serve to raise the profile of the profession and to increase the public’s understanding of the dental hygiene profession. Any Active, Life or Student member may apply for funding to assist them in developing a project, program or activity. These funds are offered annually with a March deadline. Check application for the exact date.

This award recognizes and honours a dental hygienist or dental hygiene student whose commitment and character have inspired dental hygienists to support the dental hygiene profession.

Life Membership in the British Columbia Dental Hygienists’ Association is awarded to an active member of the Association who has made an outstanding contribution to BCDHA over a number of years. All nominations must be received at the BCDHA office on or before September 8th annually.

Honourary Membership in the British Columbia Dental Hygienists’ Association shall be limited to a non-dental hygienist or a dental hygienist registered outside of British Columbia, and granted by the Board of Directors in recognition of distinguished service to the dental hygiene profession or for valuable assistance to dental hygiene practice in British Columbia. All nominations must be received at the BCDHA office on or before September 8th annually.
