Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. SafeTALK can help people feel more comfortable asking employees, colleagues, clients, friends, or family about suicide. SafeTalk is a 3.5-hour alertness training that can prepare you, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
- Identify people who may have thoughts of suicide,
- Ask them directly about the possibility of suicide, then
- Connect them to life-saving community support and resources
