As part of our effort to support the ‘call to action’ by the Chief Dental Officer of Canada and the recent announcement by Health Canada to expand the recommendation of the HPV vaccination to prevent oral/oropharyngeal HPV infection and HPV-related oropharyngeal cancers. 

The role of the dental professional is key in educating the public and promoting evidence-based preventive interventions.
