As a 1987 University of Alberta grad, Tammy Gulevich has been practicing in Northern Communities for her entire career. She practiced in a Fort St. John dental practice for 27 years, before moving onto private dental hygiene practice. Currently, she is self-employed and practicing in both residential care and in a stand-alone private dental hygiene clinic.
She was a Board Director with the BCDHA at the start of her career and is enjoying her time as a Director 30 years later. She has experience as president and/or chair in both dental hygiene organizations, as well as community organizations
One of the benefits of living and working in a small northern town is being immersed in that strong community. She has enjoyed volunteering with the dental community on issues such as education and the municipal fluoride referendum. As well, she has been very involved with the Irish Dance Society, Northern BC Regional Science Fair, and the North Peace Rod and Gun club. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and gardening as well as joining her husband and family on hiking, boating and camping adventures.
